Overview

Learn the fundamentals of forestry working on a variety of projects throughout Prince of Whales Island in southeast Alaska, potentially include but not limited to : timber cruising, silviculture, environmental monitoring, common forestry and field tools, wilderness navigation (map & compass use), basic forestry skills, stream measurement techniques for quantifying fish habitat, wetlands and wetland delineation, principles of statistical investigation, and GPS data collection and GPS navigation. 

Location: Klawock area, Prince of Whales Island, Alaska

Qualifications

Applicants must be a current Sealaska shareholder or a Sealaska shareholder descendant.
