SHI intern has a background or penchant for graphic design to help assist the Sealaska Heritage Institute’s Media department with the creation of high-quality flyers for events happening during the summer. Other activities will depend upon the skills of the applicant: event photography, reviewing the photo library for cleanup, or proofreading upcoming publications. SHI’s media department is constantly busy with managing our website, our Facebook page, overseeing all of SHI’s publications and documenting events via photo or video. The intern for this position should be passionate about design and eager to further SHI’s goal of promoting cultural diversity and cross-cultural understanding through public services and events. This internship will be split between the media group and the development group at SHI.
