Overview

Eco-Data Analytics is seeking an Informatica Data Engineer to support our pension-related Data Profiling, Cleansing and Migration projects. The Data Engineer will perform data analysis, write Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) scripts, write data reports and provide recommendations for improving data for clients.  Colorado / Wyoming candidates preferred; pension related experience a plus; .NET or similar programming skills a plus. The position requires 25% travel.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist with requirements definition including schema design (star schema and / or cube design)
  • Perform ETL activities, including:
    • Configure ETL workflows in SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or Informatica Integration Cloud or similar software packages
    • Write custom SQL queries
    • Perform QA on data and scripts
  • Document processes, data maps, data migrations, and scripts
  • Develop Business Intelligence products in coordination with Data Analysts and Data Scientists
  • Develop reports and dashboards in SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau or similar software packages
  • Assist with analyzing data issues
  • Engage in problem solving related to scripts and processes
  • Work well in a distributed team environment, including interaction with the client, other vendors, and third parties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field strongly preferred along with demonstrated professional experience
  • Experience with data migrations and data conversions
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Ability to analyze large quantities of complex data
  • Must work well in a team environment and be flexible as workloads and priorities change
  • Must be a self-starter and able to define and solve problems

Desired Skills / Experience:

  • Pension experience
  • DBA and database setup skills
  • Extensive experience with SQL, SQL Server Database Engine, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Knowledge and experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Tableau and Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with Oracle, particularly Data Warehouse
  • Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services including Master Data Management Cloud

Additional Skills

  • Ability to maintain and/or develop small .NET programs
  • Experience with image (e.g. pdf) conversion from imaging systems to a new system a plus
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Experience with source control systems, such as TFS or Git
  • Experience working with data analysis in Excel

Environment (Working conditions):

This position will be mostly stationary requiring some movement around the office and frequent communication with others. The average working hours will be 8 hours per day for this position.
