Join McKinley Capital Management and McKinley Research Group as a finance and investment intern this summer. McKinley Management, LLC is a privately-held, Alaskan-based firm providing investment, lending, research, consulting and advisory services to clients around the globe from our offices in Anchorage, Juneau and Chicago.  McKinley’s four business units McKinley Capital Management, LLC, McKinley Alaska Private Investment, LLC, McKinley Alaska Growth Capital, LLC and McKinley Research Group, LLC provide multiple services and integrated solutions umbrellaed under one company.  Working with the McKinley teams will give you the opportunity to put your education into practice and explore the investment and research industries. Apply your studies of finance, economics, business, or accounting to real-world projects alongside financial professionals.


This internship can be based in the McKinley Management office in Juneau or Anchorage, AK, or has the option of taking place via telecommute/remote location. Projects may vary depending on where the internship takes place.


  • Provide financial and business analysis
  • Analyze industry trends
  • Collaborate on projects with financial professionals
  • Improve your ability to read and digest on current events and market trends
  • Prepare investment performance analysis and report on market trends
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Interest in finance, economics, accounts, or business administration
  • Sealaska shareholder, descendant of a shareholder, or spouse of a shareholder
  • At least 18 years of age by start date
  • Must be currently enrolled in college or a vocational-technical school or a recent graduate (1-2 years) and have completed one year of school by the start date
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 60 credits at an accredited institution working toward degree in finance, economics, accounts, or business administration
  • At least a 3.0 GPA preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and research skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to both collaborate with a team and work independently
  • Self-starter with ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to travel, as needed
