This position is in charge of ensuring drilling operations are executed in accordance with the drilling plan from implementation, completion and abandonment of drill sites. The Driller works with the crew in preparing the equipment and site for the drilling operation, setup and breakdown of drilling sites, which includes repetitive bending, lifting and climbing which may be done on a daily basis. This individual promotes safety, reports safety problems, incidents, accidents, or irregularities. Acts as a team leader for drilling crews.

The Mechanic must have his own tools, the ability to perform general maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on various types of trucks and equipment. General understanding of diesel engines, gas powered engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and pumps is a necessary. Knowledge of drill rigs and equipment preferred. In addition, the ability to multi-task and prioritize, as well as organizational skills are required as there are a variety of requests made on a daily basis of this person. In addition, a positive attitude, along with a willingness to help other employees is required. The ability to work in a team environment without supervision is necessary for success.

They serve as a liaison to internal and external constituencies for the Director of Education.
